Types of Suet Bird Feeder
With all the different types of suet feeders on offer, it is easy and convenient to offer birds suet, in a way that will keep your outdoor space clean and will make it easy for the birds to enjoy suet fat balls, pellets and blocks.
In our range we offer a Suet Fat Ball feeder, these are designed to hold multiple fat balls and birds can approach to feed on these fat feeders very easily. These benefit from a tray at the bottom to make sure there is no waste!
Free feeder pellet feeders allow birds to enjoy this delicacy, the pellets are pushed to the bottom tray to allow the food to always be accessed.
Suet also comes in blocks, and a suet block feeder is the perfect way to feed most garden birds these blocks. Holding one suet cake at a time, these block feeders ensure optimal access to the food at all times.
Where Should I Place My Suet Feeder?
Garden birds can be shy and spooked easily, so we would recommend putting your suet feeder in a quiet spot, that is still in view for birds, but allows them a relaxed spot to feed and reduces the risk of the birds been scared off.
If possible, try and hang your suet feeder where there are perching spots, this will encourage birds to feed as they’ll have somewhere safe to feed from. The shrubbery will also allow birds to retreat if they feel unsafe.
Keep the feeders away from glass windows but with a good view so that you can watch all kinds of garden birds feed on this bird food.
What Birds will I Attract?
There are quite a few different species of birds that are attracted to suet including robins, wrens and woodpeckers. If you’re lucky, you might even spot goldfinches or jays using your feeder.
